With Madden 23 set to arrive in August, EA should soon begin to reveal the official player ratings. However, now it's perhaps a good time to predict some players' ratings. It is a funny experience for madden players. So today, we are giving our predictions for the best running backs in this year's game.
Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans)
Rating Prediction: 97 Overall
In one of the best RB NFL seasons of the last three seasons, Derrick Henry plans to enter his seventh season after a leg injury and years of a heavy workload, which dampens expectations somewhat. Still, he finished the season with 937 rushing hards and 10 touchdowns in eight games.
Although Henry has a ton of miles under his legs, he's just only 28 years old. Some may consider that old in running back years, but we think he deserves to be at the top of the list until someone dethrones him. If you want to take him to your ultimate team, please prepare lots of madden 23 mut coins in advance, as he is one of the guarantees of victory for you.
Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts)
Rating Prediction: 96 Overall
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has flashed a ton of potential early on in his career. He's rushed for 2,980 yards and 29 touchdowns in his first two seasons as a starter. Last year, he ran for a league-leading 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns. He tacked on an additional 40 receptions and two touchdown catches.
Jonathan Taylor is just 23 years old and is already widely regarded as the best running back in football heading into the 2022 NFL season. So we think he will get a noticeable bump in Madden 23.
Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns)
Rating Prediction: 95 Overall
Following a 2021 season plagued by injuries, Nick Chubb should bounce back as one of the NFL's most difficult tackling assignments this season.
Chubb entered the league in 2018 and has since been a force to be reckoned with. He's one of the most consistent rushers in the league, topping the 1,000-yard mark in three of the four seasons he's been a starter. Last year, he played in 14 games and rushed for 1,259 yards and 8 touchdowns. In the prior year, he ran for 1,067 yards and 12 touchdowns. Although his best season was arguably 2019 (1,495 yards, 8 touchdowns).
Dalvin Cook (Minnesota Vikings)
Rating Prediction: 95 Overall
Dalvin Cook missed some time in 2021 due to ankle and shoulder injuries, and last year has seen an acceleration in numbers. However, when fully healthy, Cook is one of the best rushers in the NFL.
And when healthy, Dalvin Cook has proven to be one of the best. he's averaged more than 4.5 yards per carrying in every year of his career. And even though he played in only 13 games last year, he still tallied 249 carries for 1,159 yards and 6 touchdowns. In 2020, he played in 14 games but rushed 312 times for 1,557 yards and 16 touchdowns. In other words, he's putting up better numbers than most running backs, even while missing games.
Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers)
Rating Prediction: 95 Overall
Playing fewer than 300 offensive snaps in each of the last two seasons, Christian McCaffrey undoubtedly is still one of the best talents at the RB position but needs to stay healthy to move up the list.
He played in just three games in 2020 and seven in 2021. But in those seven games last year, he rushed for 442 yards and caught 37 passes for 343 yards. In other words, when healthy, he's one of the most productive running backs in the league. But his problem has been staying on the field.
