99 Club

The 99 Club represents the highest honor in the Madden NFL video game — signaling that a player has virtually no flaws at his position. Madden 24 wrapped up its roster updates with six players in the 99 Club, but how many will we have this year, and who is likely to get that coveted 99 OVR rating when the new game comes out? who will secure their spot in this prestigious group? Let's take a look!

Remember: This content is subject to change up until the official release.

Patrick Mahomes

It comes as no surprise that Mahomes should receive the honor.  His athleticism, decision-making, and even his mobility have lifted him above the rest of the QB class. He's thrown for over 35 touchdowns and 4,700 yards in the last three seasons and leads the entirety of the NFL in yards per game (303) and QB Rating (105.7). Now the question remains: Will the two-time Super Bowl Champion, MVP, and regular season MVP keep it up for another year? We're excited to find out.

Tyreek Hill

Another carry-over from the end of Madden 24 should be Tyreek Hill who racked up 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns with Miami in 2023 despite being limited late in the season thanks to injury. Hill is likely to keep his unbeatable 99 speed & 99 acceleration too, to be the deadliest receiver in the game. lf Hill repeats that performance, EA may face backlash for not including him in the 99 club.

Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey was arguably the most dangerous offensive playmaker in football this past season. The 27-year-old rushed for an NFL-leading 1,459 yards to go along with 14 touchdowns, and he wasn't done there, catching 67 passes for 564 yards and another seven scores. He's been just as effective in the playoffs, with 188 rushing yards and four touchdowns to go along with 11 receptions for 72 yards across two games. So it's only fitting that he's among the top players in Madden 25. The newly-crowned Offensive Player should also keep his 99 OVR.

Myles Garrett

Following the retirement of Aaron Donald, there is a spot in the 99 Club for a defensive player, and there are a few names that could make the leap up. Both Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett ended Madden 24 at 98 OVR and have the range of skills and dominant performances that could justify a bump to 99 OVR. It's a similar story for TJ Watt, their perennial rival on the edge, who could also make the jump to 99 OVR. It's unlikely all of them get into the 99 Club at the start of the game. If we had to pick one then Myles Garrett, as reigning Defensive Player of the Year, would be our choice.
