Match Physique With Style

Once you start your path in Madden 23 FOTF and start creating your avatar, the game will present you with a menu to select the physique type of your preference. Think about the preferred playstyle, and choose a physique that makes the most sense. For example, it's fine to be a Bruiser or an Agile running back, but remember that the former will want to run up the gut, and the latter will do better on the outside. Either build can potentially be the best running back in the game; be sure to know which plays to call.

Choose Position Wisely

You can play as a Quarterback (QB), Wide Receiver (WR), Running Back (RB), Cornerback (CB), and Linebacker (LB) in Madden 23's Face of the Franchise game mode. Depending on the position of your choice, your team preference can also change. There aren't wrong answers. Quarterbacks have the most control over the outcome of a game, but being an elite shutdown corner also feels incredible. This is, after all, a game designed for player enjoyment, so do what feels best.

Understanding Rep

In Madden 23, there are various virtual currencies you can buy or earn. These include Points, Training Points, Cred, Madden 23 Coins, and more. But in FOTF, you need to understand Rep. It's delivered as a currency that is slang for the experience. You can see this on the upper-right menu screen in Face of the Franchise. You can see that the color is gold for these particular points. That will give you skill points when you level it up. These skill points are spent on your player's attributes, giving a big chunk of rating points. But also unlock abilities that will help you push your player to be the best at its current position. More Rep will lead to leveling up faster!

Upgrade Skills And Abilities

As players simply play, their Rep will go up. This Rep should be spent quickly, making the player get even more Rep due to better abilities. The goal is to get the experience to snowball. More experience means a better player, more experience, and so on. Don't forget the abilities in the second tab over when upgrading skills; they truly play a defining role on the field.

Set Achievable Goals

It can be tempting to choose the most Rep for each weekly and drive goal. But sometimes, the goal is completely out of the player's control. In that case, choose something else. For example, on defense, if players are asked to limit the opponent to less than ten yards, they could have one of their teammates blow the coverage and, through no fault of their own, lose the experience. Don't take these kinds of challenges.
